Waterfall/Cascading Bouquet

This is one of the most traditional styles and is a loose free-flowing bouquet that should imitate the flow of a waterfall or 

cascade of water.  The flowers are wired and fall from a central point and can be wired into a holder or just with the wires 

bound with ribbon to create the handle.  Some of the more popular flowers for this type of bouquet are Roses and Calla 

Lilies, but I have found that Oriental Lilies, and Singapore Orchids also are excellent in this design as seen here in this image.  

This bride specifically wanted the trails of Ivy to reach almost to the floor as her full skirt was able to balance the design 

perfectly.  This style of arrangement can be made to any length to suit the style of dress but is ideal for taller brides with fuller gowns.

Shower Bouquet

This is almost the same as the waterfall bouquet but is shorter in length and not so loose in style.  The flowers are again wired and fall from a central point and can be wired into a holder or just with the wires bound with ribbon to create the handle.  Some of the more popular flowers for this type of bouquet again Roses, Freesias and Singapore Orchids, as well as Lisianthus and Stephanotis.  Here I have used 2 types of Rose with Singapore Orchids, Freesias and Lisianthus with Eucalyptus Parvifolia foliage.  This style of arrangement can be made to suit any length of dress but again is ideal for taller brides with fuller gowns.

Hand-Tied Bouquet

This is a very popular style for a lot of brides as it versatile and complements all styles of dresses and can even make a simply cut  gown look extra-special.  The design features the grouping of flowers and is bound and tied with ribbon, with the stems exposed. The choice of blooms and flower combinations is endless, and the flowers can be densely bound or looser with or without foliage  for that just picked look.  Hand--tied bouquets are generally round in  shape and can be of any size.  The example shown here is made up of densely packed white Akito Roses with Bear Grass Spikes and a Camellia Collar.

Teardrop Bouquet

This bouquet looks like an inverted teardrop, although the one here in the image is slightly elongated so is nearer the length of a shower bouquet, but the flowers are more densely arranged than a shower bouquet.  The flowers are arranged in a rounded posy shape at the top tapering down to a point at the base.  The flowers are individually wired and arranged in order to give the distinctive shape, and because they are densely packed this type of bouquet can be heavy.  This bouquet is ideal for a traditional dress shape, like an A-line design that gently flares from the waist or a full-skirted gown.

Hand-Tied Posy for a Bridesmaid

This is a very popular style for bridesmaids as it versatile and complements all styles of dresses.  This design features the grouping of flowers and is bound and tied with ribbon, with the stems exposed.  The choice of blooms and flower combinations is endless, and the flowers can be densely bound or looser with or without foliage for that just picked look.  Hand--tied posies are generally round in shape and can be of any size.  The example shown here is made up of fairly densely packed blooms with a looser edge and long exposed stems, using Cool Water Roses with Freesias, Lisianthus, September Flower and Eucalyptus Parvifolia.  The posies can be combined with any style of bride's bouquet and on this occasion were combined with a shower bouquet.

Flower Wands

These are a great alternative to posies or baskets for younger bridesmaids and flower-girls and also gives them a little something to take away with them after the wedding.  They are made with flowers, wire and ribbon to match in with the colour scheme and the dresses and are fun and much easier for the younger bridesmaids/flower-girls to hold as they are lightweight and can be made to any length to suit the age of the child.

Basket

Suitable for a flower-girl or young bridesmaid and can incorporate a whole variety of flowers to match in with the brides bouquet.  There is a wide variety of baskets available to choose from, such as light and dark wicker or like the image here the bride sourced the baskets herself as she wanted the satin covering.  There are also a variety of sizes available, therefore enabling the correct size to be chosen depending on the age of the bridesmaid, keeping it in proportion and not too heavy to handle.

Buttonholes

Usually worn by the groom, best-man, ushers, fathers of the bride and groom and can be made from a wide variety of flowers.  The more traditional buttonhole is the Rose buttonhole and can be single or double with or without detailing, such as bullion twists, Bear Grass loops, smaller blooms or foliage.  Other popular flower choices are Singapore Orchids, Sea Holly and Calla Lilies all of which are usually chosen to match in with the brides bouquet, but can be made from entirely different blooms that also blend in with the overall flower theme.

Corsages

Usually worn by the mothers of the bride and groom and other female family members and can also be made from a wide variety of flowers.  Popular flower choices include Spray Roses, Lisianthus, Freesias, Singapore Orchids and of course Roses, but just about any bloom can be used that is hardy enough to last out of water for the day of the wedding.  The flowers chosen can match in with the brides bouquet, or can be made from entirely different blooms to match in with the individuals outfit.

Pedestal

These large arrangements look fabulous in any large space, such as, at the front of the church, in a marquee or by the cake table or top table at the reception.  They can be made to any size, the one here is a large pedestal, but a more tapered style can also be chosen giving a more slim line look or maybe try an asymmetrical arrangement instead.  A wide variety of flowers and foliages can be used in order to create the style you are looking for, ranging from more traditional looking blooms such as Delphiniums, Roses, Peonies and Hydrangeas to give a more country feel, to the more tropical looking flowers, such as, Anthuriums, Ginger and Protea to give that more exotic look.

Window Arrangements

These arrangements look great in churches or similar wedding venues that provide deep windowsills in order to create the display.  Both floral and foliage arrangements look stunning depending on your budget and again a wide variety of flowers and foliage choices are available, depending on the look you are after.  Here the bride wanted a natural looking window but also wanted the arrangement to fill the windows, especially with a lot of foliage that also cascaded down the walls and trails of Ivy are great for this.  However window arrangements can also be quite simple if the flowers are chosen well in order to stand out and give that wow factor, as quite often they are competing with the beautiful backdrops of stained glass windows.

Font Arrangements

These arrangements can be quite simple as the one here, or much more of a feature by being a much a larger display that surrounds the font or trails down from the top of the font.  Both floral and foliage arrangements look stunning depending on your budget and again a wide variety of flowers and foliage choices are available, depending on the look you are after.

Archways

Floral Archways can be attached to some venues as seen in the image here, the arch is fixed directly over the church door, however where this is not possible free standing archways can be used, therefore allowing them to be placed just about anywhere, indoors and outdoors.  Archways can also be made with just foliage and seasonal berries which can also help to lower the cost and can look just as stunning without the flowers if a variety of foliages is used.  

Floral Ball

These are great for marquees for adding a wow factor to the canopy of the ceiling and in between the chandeliers if you so wish.  They can be filled with a variety of foliage and flowers, but look best with larger blooms that will be more visible, such as Oriental Lilies, Liliums and Chrysanthemums as seen in this image.
